Since July 1st, 2006 and according to the law for electric appliances (ElektroG), limit values have to be complied for all electrical and electronic equipment with an operating voltage of max. 1000 VAC or 1500 VDC. Limit values for the following chemical substances are not allowed to be exceeded:

  • Lead
  • Cadmium
  • Chromium VI
  • Mercury
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

The manufacturer, respectively the importer to the EC (European Community) is responsible for compliance of the limit values.
We can offer you the following services regarding RoHS-conformity of electrical and electronic components:

  • Verification of components and raw material used by your company according to compliance of the RoHS guidelines
  • Certification of the RoHS conformity of your products
  • Safeguarding importers by verifying imported goods and manufacturer information

The following procedures are available for this:

  • Non-destructive summary analysis using RFA-scanners (measurement is also possible on-site)
  • Complete chemical analysis of the individual components in our laboratory; also in order to safeguard borderline values of scanned results
